Game Day 2016

It's going to be the perfect day for a football game.

So we loaded up the new van and we are headed to Columbus. Brutus has a new place to hang out LOL! It is so early it is still a little chilly. So I had to wrap up in my red quilt.

My mom got off at a different exit this time. She went all the way down to 5th Ave. And then as soon as we turned the corner onto campus we saw this sign. She was so happy.

We are on the top floor of the parking garage by the Ohio Union.

Look how awesome my wheelchair fits into the new van. We had this special rack put in just so we could do this.

Oh this is such a perfect place to park. I can get out so easy. There are people up here having a tailgate party. It smells really good.

Here we go. This is a very fast elevator.

Oh this bus is smooth. I had to have my picture taken in front of it.

Here I am at Mirror Lake. The last time I was here there was no water because they were fixing it.

We are almost to the Horseshoe. That's what they call the stadium. It was a long walk. I can't wait to see my new seats.

Here is the usher showing me where 26AA Row 11 is. Oh my gosh it is so perfect!! Thank you Kendra and everyone who helped us in the ticket office.

My mom is so happy that she can push me right to my seat. She doesn't have to lift the wheelchair over the railing anymore to lock it up.

This is the end where the band is. This is going to be so exciting.

Here they go...

It's time to get psyched!!

I love this so much. It is a beautiful day.

I can see the score board really easy. How do you like my necklace? I made it at my job training program when I was eighteen. Now I am 27.

Oh here is one of my favorite things. C'mon Brutus! You can do it.

He did it!!

How do you like my new chair bag? It is a Vera Bradley. Fancy. We had to have it checked out though because it is too big to come in here. They let us bring it when they saw it was filled with all my breathing stuff. Just in case I need it.

O.K. Here comes the band marching down the tunnel.

Oh yea!! It's alumni band day. That means there are hundreds out there playing.

Time for a selfie. Me and mom. She is also wearing a necklace I made.

Whew. It is getting a little hot out here. I better start drinking so I don't get dehydrated.

Oh ya!! Brutus is dancing.

He's a good dancer too.

OMG!!! Here come the players. There is even fireworks down on this end. I didn't even know that.

Shhh...time to get serious. They are playing the National Anthem. I always put my hand on my heart. My repaired heart. Thank you Dr. Rosenkranz.

I love to see the flag flying against the blue sky.

It's the toss to see who starts. Buckeyes win.

So this is a first. Today the Buckeyes are playing Bowling Green. My mom has degrees from both, so she is double cheering. How can she do that?

I am like so starving. So my mom said, "Hey let's go to the Panera stand." I said, "Good idea. I can get my favorite bagel and cream cheese." Wrong. No Bagels. What? How can this be a Panera Bread if there are no bagels? Ok I got a big pretzel. It was yummy.

Back to our seats just in time. Buckeyes Score!!!

I'm doing the happy dance now. These seats are so amazing!!! It is so easy for me to get in and out in my chair.

OMG! I have never been able to see this before because our seats used to be at the other end. What in the world are these crazy bandies doing?

Wonderful. Now I have to behave. Look who is behind me.

Time to hydrate again. I think my neck is getting burned.

Not again. You know what that means. Buckeyes scored.

My mom said we had to go take a break in the shade. So I am resting my eyes.

That's when we met this little guy. His name is Micah. He was taking a break with his dad too. He is so cute.

So we were just sitting here and some woman came up to my mom and wanted to know where she got her shirt. She said she wanted one. Here is the threads just in case you want one too. They come in many colors and designs.

Well it is half time and my mom is getting really hot. So that is our cue to leave. Good job to the BDBITL. See you next time.

It is so beautiful over by Mirror Lake. There is lots of shade under the trees. And ducks. I think they like me.

Oh this is so nice. A student asked if we would like her to take our picture. My mom is so happy to have it. Then we went for a little stroll.

Look where we ended up. Inside the Ohio Union. Here is good ole Brutus. He is my buddy.

Well it's time to head back to Cleveland. We have so much to do that we decided we better get home tonight.

Look at this. My new birthday van is waiting for me just where we left it. On the top floor of the garage.

We made it all the way to Medina before we needed gas. That's really good. Do you notice anything different in this picture? Haha. I moved the magnets.

Just as soon as we were getting out of the car I heard, "Sarah, Sarah." I turned around and it was my best friend Stacy. She is home for the weekend. I had to show her my new iPod. She liked it.

This was the best ending to a perfect day!! Go Buckeyes!
