My Name is Sarah

MY NAME IS SARAH. I am a quilt designer and the sewcial director of Sarah's Sewcial Lounge. I also have a business called Down Right Charming. I sell my quilts mostly on etsy and I make pillowcases to donate to patients in the hospital in memory of my friend Kristen Kirton. I am a young adult living with Down syndrome. I hope you enjoy reading about my life journey.

A Keeping It Real Update...

Joyce, I didn't leave a comment on the post you took down (thank you for respecting her wishes so quickly) because I've been processing it in my head. I cried with Sarah. How very hard to watch your child have such heart break and yet it seems to be some what of a right of passage in growing up. Rare is the young adult (with a disability or not) who hasn't had heartache so at the same time it's a shared experience. Of course there are many more complicated pieces to it. I guess this ramble is to say that I applaud you for posting such a real and raw piece of your lives & I thank you for the reminder to not judge others (the Monica and David backlash). I listened to a piece of it on the radio and hope to get my hands on it soon.
