No, I did not get punched.
This has been happening for about two months now. Most days it is fine. Then on some days, like today, it looks like this.
It does not hurt. There is nothing wrong with my eyeball. No discharge or crusty stuff like pink eye. Any idea what it could be? .
My mom just told me I am going to have to go to the doctor. I do not want to go to the doctor. "I am fine," I told her. But she thinks it needs to be checked out. I am not happy about this.

Sarah I agree with your mom, you should have it checked. It's probably no big deal, you'll be in and out. Good luck and keep us posted, please!
Definitely have it checked out. Maybe a stye or something?
Sarah...
You have to go to the doctor!
Docs are NOT scary people, they are there to help you.
I expect the next post to be about your trip to the doctor.
Lots of love,
Christy in Australia.
Sarah, it will be ok, its always better to let the doctor check it out just in case.
Get it checked out, Sarah, it's probably nothing, but it's always better to be safe!
Zoey does not like going to the doctors BUT ... she has to go when something is going on.And Miss Sarah something is going on with that eye.Mom's know best.Especially yours!
Sarah, you look like you've been in the boxing rink! Have you taken up a hobby you're not telling us about? I agree with your mom, too. My Annabelle hates to go to the doctor, like you, but Sophie LOVES to go to the doctor -- I think that's because she's only 6!
oh geez, go to the dr! it could be allergies too. I know my eyes get terribly puffy from allergies and sometimes without any other symptoms. I pray it heals soon.
I agree Sarah, you need to have it checked, it could just be an allergy :)
could it be allergies? the doctor will help you figure it out :)
Ooh Sarah, that doesn't look like it's much fun. I'm glad it's not painful. Since it isn't painful and it's intermittent, that rules out a sty and probably rules out blepharitis. I hope the doctor has an answer!
Oh, no! That's not good at all!
My eyes did that when I was living away from home at college. (Mine happened above the eye, though...not under it.)
I was allergic to some allergens that were in the air in the dorm I was living in because the building was so old.
I had an antihistamine that helped. I hope you find something that works for you, too!
I agree, I think you should go to the Eye Doc too.. I'm sure it will be a Fast Appt and everything will be fine :)
Sarah, I had something very similar a couple years ago and it turned out to be some sort of bacterial skin infection. It cleared right up with some antibiotics.
Sarah, that eye doesn't look good. Please your mom and let her take you to the dr. I'm sure it won't hurt a bit, and it will be all better in no time :) Looking forward to seeing you at your beautiful best soon :)
Go to the doctor Sarah. Think of the way cool shades they give you after your appointment!
Jan
i don't blame you, i hate going to the doctor myself. it is such a pain, but it's better to get things checked out even if it doesn't seem like a big deal.
I hope you went to the doc's! Let us know!
Is the skin really dry...and does it itch?
I had that issue a year ago around my eyes. Going to the doctor did not help one bit, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get it checked out just to make sure. But what I had was a type of common non-contagious skin fungus caused from the overgrowth of bad bacteria in my body called Candida. If you google Candida and skin symptoms, you'll find lots of articles on it. I suffered from it, and some days it will still come back, but I have figured out what works for me to get rid of it. If you've been on antibiotics a lot, it can cause that skin fungus to flare up. I had to regulate the amount of sugar and yeast products that went into my diet while I had the skin symptoms. I also took a couple supplements to help...a good one is emulsified oregano oil, called ADP. Unfortunately, if it is the Candida skin fungus, there is very little medically they have to treat it. You gotta figure it out on your own from a more holistic approach.
Good luck!
