My Name is Sarah

MY NAME IS SARAH. I am a quilt designer and the sewcial director of Sarah's Sewcial Lounge. I also have a business called Down Right Charming. I sell my quilts mostly on etsy and I make pillowcases to donate to patients in the hospital in memory of my friend Kristen Kirton. I am a young adult living with Down syndrome. I hope you enjoy reading about my life journey.

Hi guys!
I'm checking your blog out way more than normal. I check it often ;o)
Anyway, I loved the idea you gave me regarding how you helped Sarah learn to read. I'm in the process of gathering things to start doing this with Carly too. I'm very excited. Carly already can recognize words. She will then sign them. For example: we can no longer drive past Toys R Us. Carly see's the store sign and immediately signs the word to us
t o y s. The first time she did this was last fall. I couldn't believe she actually put the sign ontop of the store together with a word she already knew how to sign. So, thank you for sharing your idea. I think Carly will just take off with this.
